About
Arlyn
Arlyn Kline,
R.N., is certified by UCLA as a health consultant in Integral
Nursing. She has been a Registered Nurse since 1975, specializing in
psychiatric and holistic modalities.
She has been a practitioner and teacher of Chakra Balancing since
1983.
Arlyn
has studied extensively with Rosalyn Bruyere, Brugh Joy, and
Swami Muktananda. She was introduced to the ancient yogic system
of the chakras when she met Muktananda in 1970 and then studied
with him in India and California. Her experience as a nurse in
Ganeshpuri, India in 1978 was her introduction to "braiding" traditional
Western medicine with Ayurvedic, homeopathic and other alternative
approaches.
The school's
name, The Braided Way School of Healing Arts, is derived from a quotation
from Angeles Arrien, cultural anthropologist,
"We must learn to walk the braided way and bridge different worlds."
Arlyn graduated
from the Professional Healer Training Program at the Healing
Light Center, California in 1983 under the direction of Rosalyn
Bruyere, renowned healer, teacher, and author of Wheels of Light:
A Study of the Chakras.
Arlyn's nursing
background includes eight years in nutritional medicine in the
practice of Alan Gaby, M.D., past president of the American Holistic
Medical Association. The emphasis of her work has been to integrate
allopathic medicine with alternative and holistic healing modalities.
She has
taught the theory and practice of Chakra Balancing in seminars
sponsored by the State of Maryland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration,
and the Schools of Nursing at University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins,
and UCLA. She taught a multi-level Chakra Balancing course for
seventeen years at the Baltimore School of Massage and for the
last seven years at Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, Maryland.
Arlyn synthesizes
her many years of study and practice into a unique and lively seminar
that is a highly transformational journey.
